Glam Polish The Power of the Dark Side

Today I have the other, villainous half of the April Glam Polish duo. Inspired by Darth Vader, one of the most famous (infamous?) villains to grace our screens, Darth Vader. Tall and imposing, you definitely don't want to run afoul of him, especially as he goes around Force-choking people who displease him.

The Power of the Dark Side is described as a "black jelly with a mix of iridescent flakies, rainbow holographic microglitter, shifting iridescent glitter and fine holo microglitter." With the jelly formula, this was a little sheer but built up very nicely. I used three coats for the look I wanted but you might be able to get away with two! The flakies and glitters are packed in there so you don't have to worry about any distribution issues. This was easy to work with! 

I am generally not a fan of very vampy "goth" polishes-- it just isn't my natural aesthetic! That said, I do like how colorful the flakies are in the dark base. While this is definitely dark, it's also fun and has a lot of character, which I like. I don't tend to reach for darker polishes a lot, but I really appreciate how the color doesn't get lost here. Definitely one of my favorite dark side based polishes! 

Pahlish Star Wars Trio

Ok, strap yourselves in for a long, picture heavy post! Today I have a trio of Star Wars themed polishes from Pahlish that were released around Thanksgiving back in 2015, right before The Force Awakens was released. These are all jelly based polishes with a combination of glitters and flakies in them! They are based on various locations from the original trilogy!

First up is Two Moon Sunset. I find the name a little confusing because I think the maker actually means the binary sunset we see on Tatooine. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Two Moon Sunset has a red base with red and platinum flakes, microglitters and shimmer. I used three coats here but I think two would have been fine. The jelly base is a little thick but this goes on very easily and dries quickly.

Next up is Winds of the Cloud City, based on Bespin from The Empire Strikes Back. This one has a blue jelly base with blue and platinum flakes, microglitter, and shimmer. I used three coats here but probably could have gotten away with two.

And lastly we have The Forest Moon, based on the planet Endor from Return of the Jedi. As the name probably suggests, The Forest Moon is a green based polish with platinum and green flakies and green microglitters. I found that this to be a little thicker and I needed three coats to make sure it was even and opaque.

These are just simply gorgeous and even a year and a half later they still have good formula and are easy to use. I love all of them; it's hard to pick a favorite! If I have to choose, The Forest Moon wins by just the smallest of margins because I love the mix of flakies and glitter-- it has the most depth to it! But these are all great and lovely!

Nerd Lacquer The Lando System

Wow, this is another oldie! Moving on to another planet, Nerd Lacquer The Lando System is inspired by a line of dialogue in The Empire Strikes Back when Han and Leia are trying to discover a safe port to hide from the Empire. The best option is Bespin, run by Han's old friend and conspirator, Lando Calrissian. 

The Lando System is described as a "soft orchid of a Cloud City sunset with rose, copper, and lavender glitter, plus an /insinuation/ of sky blue shimmer." I did turn the bottle upside down a few days before using this to make sure the glitters were suspended evenly, which I think definitely helped, as I didn't have to do a lot of fishing for glitter. This applied pretty well; I didn't have to do too much dabbing or fishing. I used three coats, but feel that two coats would have been fine. I used one layer of top coat, but feel like I should have added another one because it didn't end up being quit as smooth as I wanted.

I'm generally not a huge fan of crelly glitters, but I think the combination here is pretty unique. The shimmer makes a nice contrast, and I also feel like the colors help to make this unique as well. I was happy with the way it applied, especially after all this time. I think this nicely captures the colors of Cloud City as portrayed in the movie!

Nerd Lacquer Beggar's Canyon

Another oldie, both in terms of the polish and the planet! Nerd Lacquer Beggar's Canyon is several years old at this point (cough, I just realized I bought this back in 2012, yikes!), and the name is a call back to an area of Tatooine where Luke used to practice his speeder and sharpshooting skills when he was growing up. We also get see this location in The Phantom Menace, when Anakin podraces to win his freedom. Kind of a cool callback, if you're into those sorts of things!

 Beggar's Canyon has an antique bronze gold base and has an assortment of gold, orange, and purple glitters in it. The glitter is pretty well dispersed through the polish and I didn't have to do too much fishing, though I did turn this upside down a few days prior to using it just to make sure that wasn't an issue. This covered well but I did use three coats; I suspect that I probably could have gotten away with two.

Sadly, I can tell the glitter in this polish has faded-- the purple glitter (and the orange and gold ones) used to be much more vibrant-- just searching for other swatches via Google will show you how badly this has faded. I guess that's what happens when you just let these polishes sit around for so long before wearing them! I also don't find this shade of gold very flattering with my skin tone, though it might have looked better if I had worn it ages ago when the glitter stood out a little more. That said, I do find the glitter mix interesting and pretty and wish I had worn this a lot sooner instead of waiting. Ah well! Maybe some day this will get remade, but currently it's been discontinued.

Shleee Polish Jakku

The next stop on our galactic tour is a newer planet we've been introduced to: Jakku, home of heroine Rey and a mysterious Imperial project (though I still need to read Aftermath: Empire's End to get all the details). It's also another desert planet, similar to Tatooine of the original and prequel trilogies, and offers some foreboding but intriguing visuals as we see endless sand dunes and the graveyard of Imperial and Republic starships.

Jakku is a mix of bronze glitter and gold mica in a clear (maybe slightly tinted?) base. This mix is definitely more opaque going on than Hoth was, and was pretty much opaque in two coats. I did use my usual three, but I think two would have been fine. I can't remember if I needed to use two layers of top coat with this-- I think just one? I should have taken better notes, as per usual. I didn't have any issues with this at all!

Well, I love these golden bronze polishes so it probably comes as no shock that I absolutely love this. Jakku definitely seemed to be denser than Hoth and covered a lot more easily. The color is just so freaking fantastic and I love it! This was shiny and beautiful and it was really hard for me to take this off because I liked it so much. Definitely a winner in my book!

Colors by Llarowe Siren's Song

And last but not least, today I have the Colors by Llarowe February 2017 POTM, Siren's Song. This is described as a "blurple linear holographic with color shifting glitters that shift green to red to gold." I have to say that adding these types of shifting glitters to a holo seems to be very in right now-- I know Enchanted Polish released a whole series of these (which you will eventually see here if I ever get around to it) so I guess CbL is also hopping on that band wagon. Not that glitter + holo is a new thing but these particular combinations seem to be big right now. And I'm sucker for a purple and love the color shifting so it's all a win win for me!

I used three coats here and maybe should have only used two as this did get a little thick. Siren's Song is definitely a bit thick to begin with, though definitely not unworkable. I think three coats was overkill as this is pigmented enough that two coats should be fine! The glitters are nicely distributed and while they do want to migrate to the free edge a little, it's not a lot of work to fix that. I how rich the purple looks!

Here's an outdoor shot where you can see more of the shifting glitter (please ignore the chip on my index finger-- I was in the middle of packing the car when I stopped to take a photo and noticed it, wahhh). But you can actually see how the glitters change color!

I thought this was really pretty but oh man, I probably need two layers of top coat because this chipped like the dickens on me, starting the day after I applied it. I hate that! Aside from that minor annoyance, though, this is very pretty and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

Nine Zero Lacquer Twinkle Lights

Hey all! I took a little bit of an unintended break over the holidays, but between traveling, said holidays, and being sick again... blogging wasn't really on my mind. Well, it was, but I could not muster the energy or time to get anything accomplished. So let's get 2017 off to a festive start! Today's polish is actually from Nine Zero's 2015 Christmas collection and it's called Twinkle Lights and is described as a "silver holographic with semi-transparent rainbow glitter." This sums it up nicely!

Twinkle Lights was pretty easy to work with. The first coat was a bit sheer, but it built up nicely. I used three coats and there is still a little hint of visible nail line but it's not distracting-- the polish is so sparkly that you definitely don't notice! The red, blue, green, and yellow glitter are fun pops of glitter but not hugely distracting; because they are semi-transparent they glow a bit but blend in nicely with the holographic sparkle. My only very very minor quibble would be that the yellow glitter gets a little lost, but it's a fun surprise when it pops out and reminds you it's there!

Again, this is another polish I wish I had worn earlier but it's so pretty that it makes up for any delay! I love how sparkly this is and I think it perfectly captures the delight of holiday lights-- something I personally love and wish we would keep up all through out winter when it's so grey and dreary. Twinkle Lights is a fun holiday polish that frankly doesn't feel too "holiday" if you catch my drift. I feel like you could wear this are other times of the year and people wouldn't necessarily think it was for Christmas. I loved this! If you like this, it's still available on the Nine Zero site, along with a golden version called, appropriately, Golden Lights.

Level Up Lacquer Rebel Scum

I meant to sneak this in on Friday but forgot my SC card and was otherwise lazy or busy (mostly busy) this weekend, so you're getting this first thing Monday morning instead! It's no secret I'm a huge Star Wars fan (do you remember my month of Star Wars inspired nail polishes?!) so of course I have been eagerly anticipating Rogue One. This year my husband and I saw it right away and I loved it! It's very intense and emotional and I can't wait to see it again (one or two or three times). So I figured that I needed some sort of manicure to help celebrate. Looking through my stash, I grabbed a polish I didn't get to back in May; Level Up Lacquer Rebel Scum! It seemed appropriate given that the plot of this new movie revolves around the rebels stealing the plans to the Death Star.

Rebel Scum is inspired by the orange flight suits that rebel pilots wear. It's a shimmery orange jelly with white hexes and squares and gold triangle glitter. I was kind of afraid this would be sheer and the glitters would be a nightmare to apply-- I was partly right. I honestly think if I had been more on the ball and not waited until 10pm on Thursday night, I would have had fewer issues. The glitter in this polish sank and so my initial coat was mostly just base and almost no glitter. I finally turned it upside down and allowed the glitters to redistribute it was much easier to grab them with the brush and get them on my nail. So really I think it's mainly because this polish has been sitting around for many months and not because the polish is bad. I needed three coats to achieve the level of opacity I wanted and there is still a bit of VNL.

I like Rebel Scum for its Star Wars inspiration, though this definitely isn't a polish I would wear every day. (I like orange polish, of course, but am not a big glitter fan on a regular basis.) This is really spot on, given the inspiration! It's too bad the glitter settled but it was easily remedied with shaking the polish up. Overall I'm glad I was able to throw together a manicure that was a Star Wars manicure so I could see Rogue One in style!

Purple Friday: Different Dimension Aster Purple Dome

We did! We stomped the Cougars in the Apple Cup just as I hoped (and maybe was praying for, haha) and by doing so, claimed the Pac-12 North crown. After the last regular season Pac-12 games were played on Saturday, we're facing Colorado in the Pac-12 Championship game that happens to be tonight! While we'd love to be there in person cheering on the Dawgs, traveling to California wasn't in the cards this time around. But we are fortunate that our regular babysitter was available and she's going to watch the kids so we can have a nice date night and watch the game! Colorado will definitely present a challenge-- they started in the Pac-12 as one of the worst programs but have turned it around, as evidenced by the fact that they won the Pac-12 South and are currently ranked in the top 10 themselves. I'm not really sure what to expect from this game-- I definitely know Colorado will not be push over, but I'm also not sure their defense can match ours, which may give us the edge (I hope)! But they have a very good offense and the Dawgs will have to work hard to keep them contained. Fingers crossed! I suspect I will have severe anxiety over this game as the day goes on!

While I was searching  my extensive collection of purple polishes (and I do mean extensive), I was having a hard time deciding which purple I felt I should pick for the championship game. Nothing seemed quite right (and I had swatched several) until I pulled out Different Dimension Aster Purple Dome. This was a fan group custom that was released sometime this past spring and I was hoping that the purple with gold combo would be what I was looking for: BINGO! Exactly I what I was hoping for. Aster Purple Dome is a deep grape purple creme with gold and holographic glitter scattered through out. I had no issues with this; it went on smoothly and the glitter is perfectly distributed. And I only needed two coats! TWO! Practically unheard of for me, you guys!

In the bottle, I thought this might lean too blue, so I was really happy when I applied Aster Purple Dome and it was a nice rich purple. I love how smoothly this went on. The gold and holographic glitter takes it to the next level. Purple and gold is always a great combo, so it's not really surprise that I love this! I love how deep the purple is-- it is definitely blue leaning but I have no problem seeing that it's purple.

As a final note, the name on this is totally confusing. I've seen it as Aster Dome Purple (another review) and Aster Purple Dome (on my bottle/order) so I picked the latter because seems to be more common.

Polish 'M Autumn's Palette

Well last week I got sick and felt terrible, so I didn't post as much as I intended-- I have more posts planned for this week but of course am already running behind! Today I have a fun bit of sparkle to share with you! This is actually a polish from Polish M's 2015 Fall collection, but same old same old with me: I'm finally getting around to wearing it! Like with many of polishes, it's really a shame because this one is beautiful! Autum's Palette is a glitter bomb that has a “clear base with copper-gold-fuchsia UCC mega flakes, gold galaxy holo glitter and copper galaxy holo glitter.” That's a lot going on! 

Despite the clear base, Autumn's Palette is jam packed and while it definitely wasn't full coverage on the first coat, it built up nicely. I used three coats here. I love how the magenta flakies stand out against the copper base; it really does feel like fall in a bottle! 

The blingtasticness of this polish freaked my camera out just a bit! While I'm bummed I waited so long to wear this in the first place, it was definitely worth the wait because this polish is beautiful!  I loved wearing it and couldn't stop staring at my nails while I did so. Autumn's Palette is just stunning and really captures the feeling and colors of fall! I love it! 

Purple Friday: Love Angeline Laying Under Midnight Skies

Despite my lame attempts at blogging this week, of course I needed to get a Purple Friday post up! This week is a big one for us-- we face USC, who even though they are having a "down" year and are sitting at 6-3, are still a strong and fast team that can't be overlooked. I'm not exactly sure if I would call it bad blood, but this game generates a lot of feeling, given that our former coach left UW for SC (and then was subsequently fired) and I have no doubt they would love to knock us out of the number 4 spot. Honestly, the election pushed a lot of thoughts about this game out of my mind and so now I am getting a little anxious about it. Luckily we're at home but we'll definitely need to come out strong to take a win over the Trojans! I'm actually skipping the game to go wedding dress shopping with my sister, who got engaged last month! I feel like that might be a better way to direct my post-election anxiety (which will turn into football anxiety tomorrow).

I was debating about which purple polish to use and finally settled on Love Angeline Laying Under Midnight Skies, which was part of the fall collection. In the bottle this polish is a medium purple holographic with scattered holographic glitters. On the nail, the color deepens-- I did use three coats though two would have sufficed. The first coat was a little sheer and had a slight jelly feel to it, but I didn't have any issues and as you can see, builds up nicely! It's not quite as shiny as it could because I was lazy and didn't use a top coat here.

Lovely! I love the flame-- it's present but still has a softness to it that I can't resist. The holo glitters are harder to see, but they are and sparkle in just the right light! I was a bit worried because this looks a lot lighter in the bottle, which really wasn't what the swatches showed, so I was happy when it darkened up as I applied more coats. And even though the game tomorrow kicks at 4:30, it's practically a night game now that we're off DST so the name works too!

Girly Bits What Happens in Vegas... Ends Up on Twitter

Ugh, trying to get back in the groove of blogging. It's hard when you get out of practice for any length of time! This post was supposed to go up last month but I kept putting it off and off and here we are in November! Today I have this year's LE Cosmoprof shade from Girly Bits, the fourth in a series entitled What Happens in Vegas... Ends Up on Twitter. This was a LE shade released this summer for CosmoProf in Vegas, so if you missed, unfortunately you are probably out of luck for the time being (though previous shades have made a return before, so maybe it'll be released again in the future). Sorry it's taken me so long to get it up!

What Happens in Vegas.... Ends Up on Twitter is described as a "denim blue holo that shifts from pink to gold, with an added sprinkling of gorgeous aqua holographic glitter." I guess this is mostly accurate? I see a lot of purple in the demin blue base and I feel there's a slight overall green shift to the polish.I only used two coats here. I probably would have used three to be thorough, but the brush was giving me some fits and two coats looked pretty good. 

As you can see, my camera picks up a lot of purple, but its kind of a dusty blue-purple. I couldn't really catch of the shift but I did manage to get some of the turquoise (errr, aqua) glitters: 

Pardon the one chip and focus on the glitters! What Happens in Vegas.... Ends Up on Twitter is just gorgeous; I'm really glad I snagged this! These polishes never fail to disappoint! I can't wait to see what color Pam comes up with next year!

Love Angeline 08/16

Today I have another of the monthly LE polishes from Love Angeline to share with you! This is 08/16, which means it's from August. We're only just into Otcober here (I know I've skipped July and really, a ton of other months) but I think the color works as a transition color for fall.

I've seen 08/16 described as an aqua holographic, but to me this polish leans so green that aqua doesn't quite fit, even though there blue tones to the polish. Perusing Wikipedia to see their list of green shades, it occurred to me that I would describe 08/16 as a spruce green-- think Christmas trees; it's a dusty greyed green with blue tones. It's a bit of a chameleon in that sense; the color shifts around from green to grey green to blue green depending on the lighting conditions. I didn't have any problems when applying this-- I think I used three coats, though I probably could have gotten away with two! No issues to report!

The holographic flame on this is just lovely; this might be one of my favorite polishes from Love Angeline! I find 08/16 to be a unique green (holographic or otherwise) in my collection, and I loved wearing this and studying it. I thought the color was very flattering and I'm really glad I picked this one up!

Fairytale Finish Enchanted F

A little while ago Amanda of Fairytale Finish announced she was selling mystery polishes on her site called "Enchanted Polishes" (not be confused with the brand) and so I decided to buy one because, hey, why not?! The polish I got is called Enchanted F so I'm guessing they are lettered? Now that she has announced she is closing up shop I suspect this was a way to clean out prototypes etc, but regardless, mystery polishes are always a fun surprise!

Enchanted F is a denim blue polish silver and holographic glitter of various sizes throughout. The base does have a touch of purple to it, but I would say overall is still pretty blue. The formula is good, as far as I recall-- sometimes polishes like this can be thick and while maybe it tended to lean that way, was still easy to work with. I can't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure I only used two coats here! I don't like to build up glitter polishes too much unless they a) have a white base or b) are super sheer because they tend to get gloopy (due to the thicker formula) so I'm pretty sure two is what I went for here.

While I tend not to be a glitter person, I really liked this polish! It helps that it's blue, for one, because I pretty much love all things blue. The base color is gorgeous and I think the silver/holographic glitter really works with the base. All around this was a winner for me and I'm very happy I picked it up!

Purple Friday: Polish 'M The 4th Year

It's that time again: Purple Friday!! Last week's game against Rutgers was pretty perfect except for our weird weather, which was incredibly rainy in the morning followed by intense sun. Oh fall, never boring! (Though it sure does make it hard to plan, hah!) The weather forecast for this Saturday says sun, so hopefully it will stay that way and we can enjoy the game without getting rained on. This week we play Idaho, which, realistically, should not present much of a college. Most "power conference" teams (aka any of the big conferences: Pac-12, Big Ten, SEC, etc) have an A-B-C non-conference schedule (or some variation thereof) where A is another power conference team, B is another FBS school from a lower conference and C is usually an FCS school. Rutgers was our "A" game, so now we move to our "B" game. In the past several meetings between UW and Idaho, it really hasn't been much of a game; most recently in 2009 we beat them 42-23, which looks close on paper but was probably not as close as the numbers would suggest. Of course, with football, there's always a chance for an upset but I'm rooting for the Huskies to roll to an easy victory and our second/third string can get some more practice. For this week I chose Polish 'M The 4th Year as my purple polish, which was made to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Polish 'M! 

 
The 4th Year is described as a "eggplant base with 3 different colors of UCC mega flakies, electric blue micro flakies, neon purple micro flakies, a teal/pink flash shimmer, silver galaxy holo glitter and magic holo micro flakies." So this polish has a lot going on! I didn't have any issues applying this and it went on smoothly even though it's packed with flakies, though I think I used threee coats here. (I say I think because I swatch these polishes for the post and then wear a full manicure for the game and I swatched this a couple of weeks ago and don't remember. Bad blogger!) A lot of other people have said they used two coats, so I probably just used three because I'm crazy like that! 

 

Again, I'm not in love with these photos because it felt very difficult to get anything in focus or color accurate, but it is what it is! I think you can tell how sparkly this is! And that I absolutely love! Hopefully with some sun (fingers crossed) I can add some sparkly pictures later. I love this; the color, the sparkle, everything! It's awesome!

Polish 'M Lazy Sunday

Today I have Polish 'M Lazy Sunday, which is from the same collection (Spring Remix) as Tropical Mango, which I showed you last week! Lazy Sunday has a lavender crelly base with some strong blue shimmer and purple, pink, and red micro glitters! I think I picked this one up because a) it's purple and b) I love the glitter mix! As I said in my other post, I honestly wish I had picked up the whole collection because these are a lot of fun!

No complaints about the formula here, which was similar to Tropical Mango. The glitter is nicely distributed and comes out of the bottle easily; the first coat was a tad sheer but built up nicely. I used three coats, as is my standard, for the look I wanted. You could probably get away with two coats if you so desired.

Another winner! I love this, especially with the blue shimmer-- I love that it stands out because it really makes this polish unique (at least to me)! I don't often wear crellies or glitter, but this (and Tropical Mango) made good impressions on me and I'll be reaching for them again. Happy Hump Day everyone! 

Polish 'M Tropical Mango

In a similar color scheme to yesterday's peach polish, today I'm moving on to another fruit-- mango! This Tropical Mango from Polish 'M! This is from her spring collection, which was a remix of popular polishes that she released back in 2013! I missed the originals so I can't use them as a base of comparison, but I'd say the remixes are equally fun! 

Tropical Mango is an orange leaning coral crelly with small red and purple hex glitter and a healthy dose of pink shimmer. I think the balance between glitter and shimmer in the same polish can be tricky, but it's pretty much perfect here and the shimmer really adds a nice depth to the polish, giving that extra littl but of oomph! to make it more than just a crelly glitter. Formula-wise, Tropical Mango was a breeze to apply; no issues! It went on smoothly and I didn't have to fuss around with the glitter at all. I used three coats because that's the way I am; others might be able to get away with two! If I had been able to locate my matte top coat I would love to see what this looks like mattified but that will just have to wait until the next time I wear it!

This polish is much fun! I wish I hadn't waited so long to wear it because I really love the shimmer and the glitter is very cheerful! I'm kind of wishing I had bought the full collection but I'm happy I have this one to enjoy! I do have another polish from this collection so tune in next week to read about it! 

Enchanted Polish Dom

So yesterday I had a sweet and simple creme that I shared with you and today I'm turning the tables and showing you a super supe sparkly holo. This beauty is Enchanted Polish Dom, which was part of a limited edition trio that was released early this year (or late last year). Dom is described as a "
champagne gold ultra holo and glitter." And I'm guessing that Dom is a play off the champagne brand Dom Perignon, which is a very expensive brand of French champagne. 

I used three coats for this manicure. The first coat was a bit sheer but I didn't have any issues building it up at all! It was easy to apply and dried quickly and was very smooth! No complaints at all, but Enchanted Polish tend to have good formulas!

This is so blingtastic that it's super distracting in real life. I mean, look at that holo!! It's so gorgeous! The holo is very strong and I love that the gold has a slight darkness to it; gives it a bit of an edge and also a more neutral tone that's very wearable, despite all the sparkle. This is probably on my top 10 list for favorite polishes this year!

Daily Hues Poppin' Poppies

Today is the last day of my teal themed week and I have a very unique polish to share with you as our last polish of the week! Daily Hues Poppin' Poppies was a group exclusive for the Daily Hues Crew (the FB fan group), based on the following picture: 

I'll be honest and say that I didn't snatch this polish up when it was made available for sale and regretted that. Luckily Jenn still had some of the glitter mix and made a few more bottles and I was able to snag one and I'm so glad I did! Poppin' Poppies is described as a "lighter teal blue with matte neon orange / coral glitter, matte pastel orange glitter and orange holo glitter along with copper sparks and some holo sprinkled in." This was pretty easy to apply and covered nicely in two coats (yes two, I actually used two!). The glitter was distributed nicely, and this had a slight crelly feel to it, so I used a light hand to avoid any streaks.

I'm in love with Poppin' Poppies! It's such a unique, fun polish and I truly don't have anything else like it in my collection. I love the orange and teal combination; it works so well here! I am so glad I was able to snag this; I can't want to see the next custom Jenn makes!

Two-fer Tuesday: Fairytale Finish Neverending Fairytales June 2016

Today I have a Two-fer Tuesday post, the first in about a bazillion years (or so it feels). I have the June 2016 Neverending Fairytales subscription polishes to share with you! June is Amanda's birth month (and mine too) and so she made some polishes based on her favorite color: teal!

The first polish is Glittering Peep Toes, which is a "dark teal with silver micro holo and larger silver holo." This had a nice creme base and applied smoothly. I seem to remember this was made a bit on the thinner side so I ended up using three coats, but didn't have any issues. I love the various size holographic glitters and how well they pop against the teal background.

Next up we have Sparkly Pumps, which is a super sparkly teal glitter in a teal jelly base. The first coat was a bit sheer, but the second covered nicely. I ended up using 3 coat but I actually think I should have stopped at two, because it felt a bit thick and draggy on the last coat and I think was way overkill. Ah well, next time I know better! This was super lovely and squishy looking in real life. 

This was a great sub month! I love teal and these polishes are both beautiful. They were easy to apply and looked great and I really enjoyed the two different takes on the same color! This is maybe the best sub box so far!!
