Zoya Kate

Tonight I have another polish from the limited edition Blogger Collection released by Birchbox in collaboration with Zoya. This is Zoya Kate, which was designed by The Small Things. Kate is a described as a "pinkish grapefruit." There are definite pink tones to this, but it's also a pretty strong red-toned coral.

Kate is another jelly, like Coraline. The texture is exactly the same and results in this gorgeous squishy coral finish. Again, because this is a jelly finish it is really sheer and I used four coats here to make it pretty much opaque. There is visible nail line, but it's not super obvious in real life. To me, Kate didn't seem as sheer as Coraline did and I also thought it dried more quickly, but that might be because I used thicker/thinner coats.

I don't know why those first pictures are so orange, but that's not accurate to what it looks like in real like. The last pictures are more accurate.

I love this! (Of course.) Loved the color, primarily, and that it was so easy to work with. It's shiny and bright and fun and summery and squishy. I wore this as a full manicure when I first received it and it was such a happy color.

I hope everyone has some fun weekend plans-- this week has been pretty busy so I'm looking forward to some down time and relaxation. We just got the third season of The Big Bang Theory and will definitely be marathoning some episodes!

    1. That's where I started watching it too-- now we're going through all the seasons, getting them from our library.
