Julep Parker

And... we're back to Julep polishes! Tonight's polish is Parker, which you saw yesterday as background for an indie glitter polish. This was a polish that I added on to my April Maven Box.

Parker is described as a "golden tangerine creme. Perfect for the first pedi of sandal season." From the first pictures I saw, I thought Parker would be more yellow, but no, it's pretty orange. It's not as bright as I was expecting, but still a very nice orange creme polish. And I definitely think this would make a good summer pedi color.

Unfortunately, I seem to have massively failed in taking notes for Parker. Argh! I am fairly certain I only used two coats here, but it's possible it could be three. Generally I find most Julep creme polishes to be highly pigmented and generally go on nicely in two coats (except for some of the yellows). I suspect Parker was no different.

My photos make Parker appear slightly brighter than it is. Because it's orange, there is a certain inherent brightness to it anyway, but it's no ways blinding and a bit (just a bit) more muted in real life. Are you ready for summer yet? It seems to have disappeared in Seattle after about a week. Hope it comes back for the long weekend!

  1. I selected this box specifically for Parker and was surprised when it was a bit brighter than I was expecting. It's still really pretty, though.
