Generally I don't participate in Pink Wednesdays, but because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to partake at least once! Cancer has been on my mind a lot lately, and so I'm happy to promote anything that raises awareness for any kind of cancer. You can check out NBCAM for more information! I honestly don't have a lot of pinks in my collection, but I knew I had these swatches sitting unused on my computer, so why not break them out!
Tonight I have Orly Butterflies to share with you. This is this first Orly polish I've featured on my blog, though it's not the only one that I own. Butterflies is from the Love Collection, which I believe was released in 2008. Butterflies is a "sheer pink jelly with a hint of coral" and indeed, it is a true member of the jelly formula family. I had to use four coats to get it to the opacity you see in my photos below and even then there is still some visible nail line (though not enough to really bother me). However, I had no problems with the formula. Sometimes I feel like it's easy to get a lot of bubbling when layering a sheer polish (generally because they require so many coats if you want them to be opaque) but this went on smoothly and dried very quick and shiny. And no bubbles, so definitely a winner. Butterflies is definitely a bright pink, but not neon.

This is such fun pink polish! I bought this on a whim because it was on sale, and I have to say that I regretted that until I came home and tried it on! Now I love it. I plan to break this out a lot next summer (and heck, even maybe during the winter too, when I am craving some sun).
So shiny and creamy and pretty! It looks great on you, and is such a perfect BCA shade.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I have this color... or I had it, I might have given it away but now I am wondering why I did! It's lovely!
