Julep Eva

Tonight I have another polish you've seen before, as underwear for Lacquistry A Friggin Circus. This is Julep Eva, which was one of the actual polishes in my April Maven box. Julep describes Eva as a "juicy raspberry creme. The right balance of sophisticated and whimsy." This polish does have a certain amount of playfulness to it, perhaps just due to the color. It gives off a  fun, summery vibe. I feel like I've said that a lot recently, but it's true.

Like most Julep cremes (and reds/pinks in general, I find) , the formula on Eva was perfection. It covered in one coat, but I used two for my photos below. Went on smoothly, no problems whatsoever and all the pictures below are without top coat.

I wasn't expecting to love this color, but I do. Eva practically paints herself on your fingers. It's not an original color, but it's an extremely pretty one with an excellent formula. I couldn't quite photograph it properly-- in real life Eva is a bit more red and not quite as pink.

So which celebrity do you think this named after: Eva Mendes or Eva Longoria?

  1. Wow I really like this color... I would say this is named for Eva.... Mendes, just because I love her :-)

  2. Gorgeous color! I say Eva Mendes, too, because of her bombshellness and the fact that she seems to have a certain amount of lightness about her. Honestly though, the Eva that first comes to my mind is the little white robot in Wall-E. lol. This is probably not named after her, though. :)
