Yesterday I gave you Cinderella's glass slipper, but today I have Cinderella herself for you! This polish has been raved about online and for the life of me, I could not find it anywhere in Seattle and convinced I never would. But thanks to Amanda from Fashion Footing, who had Cinderella on sale at her blog, I managed to snag this (and Julep Sofia). Of course, I finally saw this on display a few weeks later, because we are so slow to get these things out here on the West Coast. So I'm behind the curve here, but I finally have this gorgeous polish for you!
Cinderella is fairly sheer pale light blue polish that has a beautiful pink shimmer. I used three coats of Cinderella here, and used medium thick coats to obtain opaque coverage. There is a hint of visible nail line, but I don't think it's too bad. Alternatively, you could layer Cinderella over a light blue polish to obtain opacity faster. I found the formula to be pretty good and dry pretty quickly, but using thicker coats did make it a little gummy, especially if you don't let the coats dry fully.

Personally, this polish definitely say "Cinderella" to me. The blue is fairly reflection of her dress in the Disney cartoon and I love the pink shimmer. It has a very light and ethereal feeling to it.
Today was the first day of my no-buy and things are going well. Of course, it's only day one, but... one day at a time, right? Follow me on twitter to see how it goes!
I'm not really into this line, but I'd totally buy Cinderella, if I could find it. It'd be my one and only Sinful. :) Great swatches!
ReplyDeleteTo be quite honest, I usually pass Sinful Colors display. I only picked this up because of other bloggers!
