Cult Nails Two Timer

I've had this post waiting for two days...  just been so busy that I haven't been able to post. Been busy baking Christmas cookies-- and attending my husband's company Christmas party.  Tonight I have the second polish from the Cult Nails Deceptive Top Coat Collection, Two Timer. Coincidentally, I had these pictures all ready to go before Pantone announced that their color of the year for 2013: Emerald! Cult Nails Two Timer is a "sheer top coat that enhances your existing color by casting a beautiful emerald shimmer over it." While this has a yellowish appearance in the bottle, you can see the greenish sparkle to it.

Here I have layered one coat Two Timer over American Apparel Hassid. It was very easy to apply and I didn't have any issues at all. I'm generally not a huge green fan, but I like the deep emerald color and how shimmery it is.

Of course, as of yet I have to try this over other colors, but I think this would really pretty over a teal or deep hunter green, in addition to grey or blue! I'd also like to see this over a dark red or purple. So many possibilities-- hopefully I'll have some time in the new year to play around with it.

  1. That's cool! These seem to be kind of like flakies, only completely effect saturated, obviously. I hope you show some more colors with these topcoats.
Ahh, Christmas cookies.... I spent seven hours making Christas treats a few Saturday nights ago. Pretty tiring, but so satisfying when you're done. :)
